Participation Policies*
Welcome!
Home of the Brave is about the US Constitution. Participation is available via reading, commenting, authoring and multimedia uploading. There are no qualifications for participation based on residency, education/professional credentials or citizenship.
The blog rules are simple:
Relate content to the US Constitution.
Follow the commenting policy below so that no work or spam filters are triggered. The intent is for the blog to be fully accessible to everyone interested.
The blog, Positive Liberty, has a comment policy which this blog is adopting. All the credit for the development and publication of the comment moderation policy goes to the fine folks at Positive Liberty.
Comments are moderated as follows:
1. We typically welcome and encourage comments, even if we disagree with you. We will not, however, tolerate comments that are simply vindictive, ad hominem, or otherwise contrary to the spirit of honest civil discourse.
2. All first-time commenters must pass an automated spam filter and human moderation. We get several hundred to several thousand spams per day, so the multiple layers are sadly necessary. Comment approval may be done by any of the authors, and it usually happens within several minutes to several hours of submission.
3. Once you have had a comment approved, your subsequent comments will usually bypass all moderation and appear immediately. Welcome to the community.
4. Comments by approved commenters that contain strong profanity or certain spammy keywords may be diverted to the human moderators for review. Strong profanity is not necessarily forbidden, but please use sound judgement.
5. Our judgement isn’t perfect, and sometimes we make errors of inclusion. We reserve the right to delete the comments of approved commenters even after they appear on the site. This will only be done to preserve an atmosphere of polite discourse.

The sole reason for moderating the first comment and requiring a WordPress login is to avoid spambots. I’m very sorry for any and all inconveniences.
